Librarian

Job Type: Part time, non-exempt, temporary, 14 hours per week
Salary: $16.20 – $17.00 per hour

Work Summary:

The Frank Lloyd Wright Trust in Oak Park is installing a small reference library in the new resource center. We are seeking a graduate student in library science who would organize the library books on the shelves, set up a book index on a computer, and work with a small committee to establish policies for acquisitions and management of the reading room. The project time span would be 12 weeks, late March, early April, through July 2025.

Duties:

• Organize the library books on the shelves
• Set up a computerized book index
• Work with the committee to establish policies for the reading room
• Other duties related to the installation of the library

Qualifications:

College degree; enrolled in a Library Science Master’s program.

Environment:

Position requires frequent and regular computer and phone use. The workplace is a smoke- and drug-free environment. Equal opportunity employer.
