Tickets
You can purchase Wright Plus tickets online through this website or by calling 312.994.4000 x1. You can also purchase Wright Plus tickets in person at our museum shops at the Frank Lloyd Wright Home and Studio, The Rookery and Robie House.
Members of the Frank Lloyd Wright Trust receive discounted ticket rates. If you are currently not a member, you can join now.
Upon completion of your online or phone order, you will receive a confirmation email and a separate “eTicket” email. You will receive a third email in April/May 2025 with complete event details.
On the day of the Wright Plus Housewalk, bring your eTicket(s) with you to check-in at the Orientation Center. Ultimate Plus and Ultimate Saturday guests bring your eTicket(s) to the appropriate check-in point on the date and time of your event.
The number of tickets sold is limited and we recommend buying early to avoid disappointment.
Proceeds from the sale of Wright Plus Housewalk tickets benefit the Frank Lloyd Wright Trust, a 501(c)(3) not-for-profit organization. Tickets are non-refundable. The value of goods or services received with a ticket for Wright Plus 2025 is $46.00 per general ticket and $0.00 per member ticket. Please consult your tax adviser for more information.
The housewalk—how it works and facts to know
Yes, admission to Unity Temple is included in the 2025 Housewalk ticket. 45-minute audio self-guided tours will be available 9 am to 11:15 am. There will be no building admittance after 12 pm.
You should allow all day for the tour. You will need to wait in line to view buildings. Wait times vary depending on the time of day and location. The buildings are open 9 am to 4 pm.
Trust members receive discounted rates plus other privileges at the Wright Plus Housewalk:
- Members of the Frank Lloyd Wright Trust receive a $35 discount on each Wright Plus ticket. Discount is valid up to 4 tickets.
- Advance pickup of program guide and wristband on Friday, May 16, allows members to skip the check-in line on Saturday and start their day at the featured house of their choice. Pickup times and location details are announced prior to the Housewalk.
- Bonus 20% discount at our museum shops all weekend.
You should anticipate walking at least a few blocks between tour sites. At peak times, lines may form to view the homes; seating is not provided. Some homes have stairs at their entrances and stair-climbing will be required throughout the day.
Due to the historic nature of the homes, the tour is not physically accessible. Assisted walking devices are not allowed in the private residences.
We suggest you wear comfortable walking shoes (note that high-heeled shoes are not allowed inside the tour homes).

Hints: The courtyard of the Home and Studio is a good place to sit and relax. Some visitors bring folding stools or pack seats to sit on while they wait; these may be checked at the door of each house.
No. You may tour the houses in any order you choose. Wright Plus takes place from 9 am to 4 pm. If you are in line to see a specific home at 4 pm, you will still be allowed to tour the home. You cannot join a line after 4 pm.
You will receive a wristband when you check in at the Wright Plus Welcome Center. At each building, a greeter admits a set number of visitors every few minutes to begin the tour. Wristbands are checked at each building on the tour. Once inside, visitors move from room to room in a group to listen to trained docents describe features of that room, the house's history and design, and interesting historical and family facts. The tour program is subject to change due to unavoidable circumstances.
Wright Plus Housewalk Fast Pass. This higher-price ticket allows you to enter tour buildings with the next available group, avoiding long tour lines and waits. Very limited availability. Ultimate Plus and Ultimate Saturday guests receive a Fast Pass with their ticket.
You may take exterior photos of the front of the homes from the street and sidewalk. Photography is not permitted past the bag check table in front of each home.
Children under the age of 12 are not allowed on the tour. Pets are not allowed.
Large bags, knapsacks, etc., are not allowed inside tour homes. Each tour home will have a bag check for those who may need to leave their bags outside. Additionally, there is a bag check available for shop purchases and personal items at the Welcome Center, located in the courtyard of Wright’s Home and Studio.

Food and Shopping
Yes. You may order box lunches in advance and pick up your pre-ordered lunch at the Wright Plus concessions tent. A vegetarian option is also available.
Yes. Many restaurants offering a variety of cuisine and pricing are located nearby. Restaurants participating in the Dine Wright program may have special offers.
Yes, the Museum Shop at Wright’s Home and Studio features design-inspired and Frank Lloyd Wright licensed products, including home furnishings, jewelry, books, and gift items. There are also shops at Robie House and The Rookery.
Location and transportation
Oak Park is a suburb bordering the western boundary of Chicago. It is 10 miles due west of Chicago's downtown (the Loop). It is roughly equi-distant (approximately 30 minutes' driving, at non-rush hour times) from Chicago's two airports, O'Hare International Airport and Midway International Airport.
Oak Park is easily accessible by car and by public transportation. It is served by the Metra commuter rail system, as well as by the Chicago Transit Authority's elevated trains (the "L"). Taxis are also easily available.
Driving between Oak Park and either airport or downtown Chicago takes about 30 minutes at non-rush hour times. During rush hour, expect longer travel times.
Driving directions
Take the Eisenhower Expressway, I-290, to the Harlem Avenue exit, and exit northbound. Continue north on Harlem Avenue to Lake Street. Turning right on Lake Street, you will be in downtown Oak Park. Directions from downtown Chicago via public transportation
Take either (1) the Metra commuter train Union Pacific West Line to the Oak Park stop or (2) the Chicago Transit Authority Green Line ("L") to the Oak Park Avenue or Harlem Avenue stop. Bad weather and cancellations
Tickets are not refundable or exchangeable. The tour will not be cancelled due to inclement weather. We recommend you watch the weather and come prepared for the day.
Wright Plus tickets are not refundable or exchangeable. When you purchase tickets you may also purchase travel insurance to protect the value of your trip. In the event that you are unable to attend, unused tickets are considered donations in support of the Trust’s mission.
