Another of Wright’s vacation homes in Delavan, Wisconsin, the George Spencer summer cottage is marked by the sharply protruding, covered veranda at its side. Prow-like in form, this feature recalls the deck at the William G. Fricke house, several bays at the Arthur and Grace Heurtley house, and the stairwell at the Henry Wallis summer cottage. The triangular protrusion interrupts the square-shaped plan of the building. Board and batten siding on the first floor lends the modest structure an elongated appearance.
